Francisco Gonzalez Camacho

Francisco Gonzalez Camacho (b. 1990) is a Spanish visual artist based in Helsinki. He is currently studying a Masters’ degree in Photography at Aalto University. His practice can be described as contemporary photography with a focus on themes such as family, mortality and the connectedness between landscape and self.

“In “Elsewhere”, my most recent ongoing project developed over the last two years in Finland, I explore the idea of displacement, with nature emerging as a coping mechanism and transcendental space. I intertwine elements such as poetic narration, references to pictorialism and the use of infrared photography.”
