”I’m interested in certain materials or techniques, such as three-dimensional structures with a simple geometrical basis. I’ve explored the stackability and connectability of parts, the flexibility of different materials, and the functionality and durability of anticlastic and honeycomb-shaped structures. My work is visibly guided by my observations about the consistency in manmade and natural forms.

Experimenting with new techniques has become an increasingly important part of my artistic process over recent years. The substance of my artistic expression is also determined by my relationship to various materials, natural materials in particular. The way technique and material serve the form and substance of a project is absolutely essential. Material drives the artistic process, while craftsmanship is key to the implementation. Respect for the environment and the principles of sustainable development are central values to me, both in terms of technique and material choices. The desire for beauty and the ambience created by different hues, the light and the shadows, are at the core of my work.”
